Work on the Mas Blanc
The Mas Blanc was thoroughly restored between 1988 and 1994 and restored as much as possible to its original state. This was done with the help of many volunteers and (small) French companies. Boys and girls, men and women between the ages of 18 and 82 came to contribute to the renovation for several months. They exchanged their situation temporarily for a stay under the sun of southern France. Because of the unique location of the former Benedictine monastery and the relaxed atmosphere on the Mas Blanc, there was never a shortage of help. Even after the restoration, there have always been people, mostly through word of mouth, to assist with the reception of Guests and other jobs. Some even stayed after the summer holidays, while others stayed only during their summer holidays.
