Cursus Wandelweek

Hiking in the Cevennes in southern France
from 21 to 28 September 2019

Hiking during your vacation is a double holiday. Over the years, people who live and work on the Mas Blanc have hiked quite a bit. They discovered many beautiful things during those trips.

If you come to hike with us, we share that knowledge with pleasure. The Mas Blanc itself already has 40 hectares of private forests, meadows and sources along which it is great for hiking. The walks almost all start from the Mas Blanc and give a good impression of the surroundings. Duration of the hikes is between two and six hours. But of course we can also visit Mont Lozère or Pont Montvert to discover the rougher parts of the Cevennes.

By the way, every Wednesday in the guest season, Tein goes out on his own. You can join him. On your own, you can of course also use our “walking route knowledge”.

You arrive and leave on Saturday. The walks start on Sunday.
Together we discuss which route or which path we will explore the next day. There is so much choice that the level of difficulty can also be chosen. If there are major differences in the wishes of the participants, we split up the group.
On Tuesday we do not hike, enabling you to visit the local market.

You can also walk with us on an individual basis during your holiday.

Tein Waas

Tein, an easy-going Dutchman, was a lawyer in his previous life. When he discovered the Mas Blanc fourteen years ago and decided to come and live here, it was partly because of the endless walking opportunities he saw. He will gladly take you along to share his knowledge of the environment and nature with you.

The cost of the walking week is 125 euros per person per week.

This amount does not include travel expenses, accommodation, food and drinks, but includes a drink at the end of each trip. For the costs of the stay during the pre-and after season, click here

Because the hiker, after an effort, likes to eat healthy and delicious, our cook ensures that you get exactly what you need this week.
