Holiday home for 2 persons: the Abbotshouse
This holiday home for 2 is located on the ground floor. The abbot of the convent had the privilege to have an office next to his bedroom. The bedroom faces the west. The “office” has a south-facing window. You reach the Abbotshouse by entering the first two steps of the cloister hallway. Before you step inside: enjoy the hanging wrought iron candlesticks in the hall. In the apartment you will find the bathroom with shower and toilet on the left. The living room / kitchen still has the original arched ceiling. Here (or on an outside terrace) you can enjoy your breakfast and have everything within reach.
The stone counter top of the kitchen and the antique table with farm chairs give a special touch to this room. Behind two beautifully refurbished antique doors, you will find a spacious closet. A small openwork table with two wicker armchairs on both sides, will make you feel comfortable. You can display your books and holiday finds in the open shelf cupboard. From the bedroom you look out over the lush canopy of the trees of the Mas Blanc.
Entrance through the courtyard
From the living room you can see the flowers of the courtyard with the climbing rose. With the hills of the Cévennes in the background.
To the left of the entrance there are two immense amethysts in the wall. Their magical powers protected the home of the Abbot. Now also you can enjoy some additional safety.
The bedroom has a walnut door, hiding the sink and lighted mirror.
The bedroom is separated from the living area by a door. Again you will find the original arched ceiling. There is a twin bed with 2 mattresses of 80 by 200 cm.
Where do we start as whatever we write can not possible do this fabulous holiday home justice! The Mas Blanc is out of this world. The attention to detail is amazing, from the moment you enter this oasis it is paradise.
We are a family of four, with two young children aged 3 and 7. We stayed in Zonnehuis, where the views of the Cevennes are amazing. The room decor was beautifully designed.
We arrived at 19.00 hours, and were greeted by two members of staff from Mas Blanc. The staff were so friendly on arrival and we were greeted with drinks and made to feel so welcome. We were then shown around and taken to zonnehuis, where we had time to get ready for a meal. Meals are great, the eating ambiance is wonderful. The staff are friendly, helpful and very experienced always there to help and assist.
Tein you run a superb ship, and should be extremely proud, we would just like to say “Thank you so much” you made our stay in Mas Blanc a very memorable one.
