Holiday home for 2 to 3 people the Bottling room
If you choose our “Bottling Room” we will receive you in the main building of the former Benedictine monastery. It is a two or three person studio on the ground floor. It is faces the former stables. These stables are currently set up as a “brocante” shop, that opens its doors for you one day every week. In the courtyard you can see the half doors that remind us of the time that horses could look out through the top half. The Bottling room has these funny doors as a bonus. They serve as shutters at your front door. You close them the moment you want to shut out the outside world. The Bottling room is the apartment that has an original 12th century arched ceiling throughout the entire space. On the left you will find the twin bed with 2 mattresses and on the right the dining table with country chairs and the kitchen with hard stone top plate. You will find all ‘tools’ to prepare your breakfast and lunch. But also for dinner, on Tuesday and Friday when our restaurant is closed. From your kitchen window you can see the baker lay the freshly baked bread in the “bread chest” in the morning. On the east side of the bottling room you step through a sliding door on to your own terrace. The morning sun is waiting for you there. It is equipped with a cozy round table and comfortable chairs. You can enjoy a glass of wine here together, in the evening before bedtime. Or just enjoy the starry sky. On your terrace you look out over the hills of the Cevennes and the 40 hectares of private forests and sources of the Mas Blanc. They ensure that you find the absolute peace that we (in part) owe our reputation to. The bottling room has enough space to place an extra bed.
You can also sit inside
for when it gets too hot outside!
Kitchen
The kitchen block with hard stone top plate. You will find all ‘tools’ to prepare your breakfast and lunch here. But also for dinner, on the Tuesday and Friday when our restaurant is closed.
Bathroom
In the bathroom you will find a shower, a toilet and a sink.
Overview
If an extra bed is needed, we put it right next to the door to the terrace. As you can see on this picture
Where do we start as whatever we write can not possible do this fabulous holiday home justice! The Mas Blanc is out of this world. The attention to detail is amazing, from the moment you enter this oasis it is paradise.
We are a family of four, with two young children aged 3 and 7. We stayed in Zonnehuis, where the views of the Cevennes are amazing. The room decor was beautifully designed.
We arrived at 19.00 hours, and were greeted by two members of staff from Mas Blanc. The staff were so friendly on arrival and we were greeted with drinks and made to feel so welcome. We were then shown around and taken to zonnehuis, where we had time to get ready for a meal. Meals are great, the eating ambiance is wonderful. The staff are friendly, helpful and very experienced always there to help and assist.
Tein you run a superb ship, and should be extremely proud, we would just like to say “Thank you so much” you made our stay in Mas Blanc a very memorable one.
